In this phase, teachers reflect after trying something new or expanding their practice in one area of SEL.
1. Have partners use an open ended coaching conversation around the strategy they tried out. Basic questions are: What did you try? How did it go? What do you want to do next?
2. It can be helpful to streamline the process by having the coach ask the questions and write the responses on a Google Form. This way, they pair has access to the reflections from each observation cycle. If you do not use the Google Form, have teachers reflect on this growth in writing, using a reflection form.
3. Start the next cycle, beginning at Phase 3. Teachers can choose another text that helps to facilitate their growth in the same core practice, or try a small tweak to the strategy they tried that week.
